while the summer school program is an offering by the district, it is a privilege to attend at no cost, therefore, all student behaviors must reflect and adhere to the expectations of the ohs handbook including following the dress code BELOW:
**please note the following non-negotiableS: if a student is caught with and/or using a vape device containing a thc substance, a hearing will be set in august upon the return to school and they will be dismissed from the summer program. *link to handbook (page a-6):

lunch info
breakfast and lunch will be served at all campuses at no cost in the cafeteria. student class organizations may sell lunch or snack items in the courtyard.
**students will not be permitted to leave campus for lunch, 30 minutes is not adequate time for students to leave and return safely and timely.
**Food deliveries by families are discouraged and food delivery services will not be permitted FOR the safety for our students.

summer program Expectations
to ensure student engagement during ai, cr, ca, & Cr adv, cell phone use is not permitted during the instructional support times in class (unless it is a part of the lesson).
students will be expected to take notes during online tutorials and lesson reviews. fill-in-the-blank guided notes can be provided or students may write their own notes minimum of a page per lesson.
tHE expectation is TO engage in and review content material THAT WILL precede a quiz, test or assessment, which they are allowed to use their notes for.
- students will be asked to leave their phones on the teacher's desk when taking an assessment or when they go to the restroom.
- They will also be asked to leave their backpack in the room when they go to the restroom TO ENSURE STUDENTS RETURN TO CLASS PROMPTLY.
attendance
DUE TO THE ACCELERATED NATURE OF THE SUMMER PROGRAMS, daily attendance is crucial. PLEASE CONTACT ONE OF OUR SUMMER ADMIN STAFF AND EMAIL THEIR TEACHER IF UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD COME UP.
FOR THE CREDIT RETRIEVAL/credit ACCELERATION PROGRAM, STUDENTS will BE DISMISSED FOR THE SUMMER ONCE YOUR STUDENT COMPLETES THEIR CREDIT(S). THE SOONER THEY FINISH, THE SOONER THEIR SUMMER FUN CAN BEGIN!!
